IndiGo charges no programme fee. The partner flying school does, and six of the seven publish theirs. Here is each one, what it includes, and the page it was printed on.
IndiGo charges no programme fee of its own, so what you pay is whichever partner flying school you are routed to, and most of those schools publish their fee outright.
Say this part plainly, because it is easy to mistake for secrecy. An airline-stamped programme fee is Not publishedon any IndiGo page, checked 14 June 2026, and the reason is that IndiGo charges no programme fee. The cadet contracts with a partner flying school and pays that school directly, so the price you will actually pay is printed on the school's page and not on the airline's.
That makes IndiGo the most transparent of the four Indian programmes in practice and the least transparent on paper, and it is why the spread across partners is so wide. Same selection, same A320 at the end, and more than fifteen lakh between the cheapest and the dearest school.

The overseas fees were quoted in US dollars and converted at the exchange rate on 14 June 2026; they are reproduced here as recorded and are not recalculated at a live rate, so treat them as approximate in rupees and read the school's own currency figure before you plan around it.
Chimes, which trains at Dhana in Madhya Pradesh, publishes ₹94.10 lakhPublished for a twenty-month programme covering ground school, the CPL with single-engine and instrument work, and the A320 type rating. Its assessment fee sits on top of that and is charged separately.
One honest caveat about the assessment fee. Our sources recorded it at three different amounts on three different reads, the most recent being ₹35,000Published. A number that moves like that is a number to confirm with the academy for your own intake rather than to trust from any comparison page.
CAE publishes an all-in cadet figure of about ₹97 lakhPublished, and unusually it publishes the build-up too: the CPL, food and accommodation, and the A320 type rating as separate parts. The type rating inside it is the single published type-rating rate in the whole Indian market, which is why it turns up on our type rating cost page as well.
Do not confuse this with CAE's standalone integrated CPL at the same airfield, which is a different and much cheaper course without a type rating. Adding the two together is a common and expensive mistake.
Insight Aviation and Garuda Aviation both run their ground school in Gurugram and their flying at 43 Air School in South Africa. Insight publishes about ₹1.06 crorePublished for a twenty-one-month programme and Garuda publishes about ₹1.10 crorePublished with its full eight-instalment schedule. Both were quoted in US dollars and converted at the exchange rate on 14 June 2026.
Skyborne trains at Vero Beach in Florida and converts the licence in India, publishing about ₹1.10 crorePublished as five equal instalments, with a separate assessment fee in pounds. Marigold, trading as MG Aviation, publishes about ₹1.10 crorePublished with its own assessment fee in dollars. Both figures were converted at the exchange rate on 14 June 2026.
A Flight Training Adelaide fee is Not publishedon the school's own page, checked 14 June 2026: the fee schedule sits behind a download and an email. Third-party figures for it circulate widely and they disagree with each other by roughly ten lakh, which is exactly why this page prints neither. Two estimates that contradict each other do not average into a price.
One more route worth naming so you are not caught out by an old article. L3Harris was an IndiGo partner and sold its cadet business in 2025, and there is no live official page listing an IndiGo fee for it. Treat any L3Harris number you find as a legacy estimate.
The route is an online application, a screening stage, and then a computerised aptitude assessment, which is the gate that decides whether you are offered a place at a partner school. There is a psychometric and interview stage, and a DGCA Class 1 medical you must pass. Only after all of that do you sign with the school and start paying tuition.
Two costs land before tuition. The assessment fee, discussed above, and your medicals at ₹5,000 to ₹16,000Reported for the Class 1 and Class 2 certificates. Neither is refundable if the selection does not go your way.
