DGCA exam calendar
DGCA runs four regular exam sessions a year, one a quarter, and eight on demand sessions in the months between. Each session's dates are in its notice on the notice board at pariksha.dgca.gov.in.
When are the 2026 sessions?
DGCA's 2026 programme marks these dates tentative, so confirm each session's notice on Pariksha before you plan around it.
Regular or on demand: what is the difference?
Same paper, different sitting, different fee. You pay per paper through Bharatkosh inside the portal, and the fee isn't refunded. A second or third oral attempt is ₹500.
How do I book a session?

- 2Read the session's notice.
It gives the papers on offer, the dates to apply and the centres.
- 3Apply and pay on Bharatkosh.
Keep the transaction reference until the admit card is in your hand.
- 4Download the admit card the day it appears.
The portal slows on release day. Carry the card printed, with your original photo ID. Students report that a phone copy of the card and a photocopy of the ID have been turned away.
- 5Read your result in your Pariksha login.
DGCA no longer posts result lists on its website or the Pariksha notice board. Its rules say results come within 30 days; students report a score SMS within a few days of the paper.
How long is the booking window open?
Each session notice on the Pariksha notice board gives its own dates to apply, and they vary. The notice for the last sessions of the year opened applications for five to seven weeks. You can apply once per session.
Will I get a seat?
In a regular session you are allotted a centre from your two choices. On-demand seats are first come, first served. Students report that regular sessions don't run out of seats, while on-demand seats at Delhi and Mumbai fill within hours, so book on-demand papers early.
How long does a pass last?
Every paper you use for your CPL must have been passed within the five years before you apply for the licence. A paper passed earlier than that no longer counts and has to be passed again. Attempts are not capped.
What do I need to pass?
70% in each paper, cleared on its own. DGCA publishes no negative marking rule, and students report none. The time allowed for your paper is on your admit card.
