A Jamshedpur school that prices two different CPL routes, one on the Cessna 152 and a dearer one on the Cessna 172, and prints both totals on the same page.
Alchemist Aviation trains at Jamshedpur in Jharkhand and it does something most schools in this directory do not: it gives you a choice that changes the price. The same commercial licence course is priced once for a student who flies the Cessna 152 and again, higher, for a student who wants the Cessna 172, and the multi engine and instrument rating hours on the Tecnam are identical in both.
That makes the school unusually easy to compare against itself, and it is worth understanding what the difference buys. The cheaper route is the same syllabus on a smaller, older, simpler trainer. The dearer route is the same syllabus on the aircraft most Indian schools now use as their standard. Neither changes the licence at the end.
The site is a single page application, which matters if you are trying to check any of this yourself. A plain fetch of the fee page returns almost nothing, and the fee table only exists once a browser has run the page's JavaScript, so a link you send to somebody else may look empty to them.
The regulator prints approval 01/2018 against this organisation, records its ownership as Private Ltd, and gives the approval as valid to 20 May 2028.
The DGCA list records 9 single engine and 1 multi engine, with types Cessna 152, Cessna 172R, Cessna 172 and Piper Seneca PA34. The school's own fleet page lists nine airframes by count: 3 Cessna 152, 3 Cessna 172 glass cockpit, 1 Cessna 172 conventional, 1 Tecnam P2006T and 1 Piper Seneca PA-34 220T. That is 7 single engine and 2 multi engine on the school's own numbers against the regulator's 9 and 1, and it adds a Tecnam P2006T the regulator's list does not carry. Both are recorded as found.
The site renders nothing without JavaScript, so a plain fetch of any of its pages returns an empty shell and every quotation on this page was read from the code the site ships to draw itself, checked 8 September 2026.

| Figures checked | 8 September 2026 |
DGCA ranking, 1 April 2026 edition: Category B, printed at serial 14. It was Category C in the 30 September 2025 edition, so this is a move in the regulator's own letters between the two.
The regulator publishes a letter and a serial number and no score at all, so there is nothing behind the letter to inspect and nothing here to rank schools against each other by. The bands the letters come from, and how many organisations sit in each on this edition, are set out on the flying schools in India index.

| How far to trust it | What the source says |
|---|---|
| Published, and inside the figure | Admission, 185 hours of single engine flying on the chosen trainer, and the 15 hour multi engine and instrument rating on the Tecnam P2006T. |
| Published, and outside the figure | Documentation, night flying, RNFC, and any other training or regulatory requirement not included in the course fee, all borne by the candidate. |
| Published, and outside the figure | Fifty hours of course fee must be paid at slot booking to confirm the training slot, and fees paid are non-refundable if the trainee discontinues. |
Minimum age 16 for PPL and 18 for CPL; 10+2 with Physics and Mathematics, or the NIOS equivalent, which the site's FAQ says non-science students may use; a valid DGCA medical, Class 1 for CPL; vision correctable to 6/6. The site states there is no minimum height requirement and that Indian and foreign nationals are welcome. No entrance test or interview is described. A slot is confirmed by paying fifty hours of course fee at booking.
Night flying, documentation and route navigation facility charges are named as the candidate's own cost with no amount attached to any of them.
The school publishes no batch calendar, no entrance test and no interview, so there is no published way to know when a seat opens.
Nothing above is the whole cost of becoming a pilot. Our pilot training cost in India page has the full stack from the medicals to the type rating, and CPL course fees in India puts this school's licence figure next to the rest of the market.
Whichever trainer you fly. The school publishes one total for the route flown on the Cessna 152 and a higher one for the route flown on the Cessna 172, with the same multi engine and instrument rating hours in both. Both are in the table on this page with the label attached.
The school states that fees already paid are not refunded if a trainee discontinues, and that fifty hours of course fee must be paid at booking to hold the slot. That is a real commitment before you have flown, and it is published rather than hidden.
The site renders nothing without JavaScript. The course, fleet and questions are inside the page data, but the fee table is drawn in the browser, so a slow connection or a stripped down browser can leave you looking at a blank page.
