Garg Aviations

A Kanpur school with the most complete fee disclosure in this directory: a dated, signable sheet with a refund policy and an hourly rate card behind it.

Garg Aviations flies from Kanpur in Uttar Pradesh and publishes the best fee document of any school in phase 2. It is dated, it is effective from a stated day, it is signable, it carries a refund policy on the same sheet, and it prints an hourly rate card for anybody flying outside the package as well as the package total itself.

The detail that repays reading is what the package hours actually are. The sheet buys a hundred and eighty five hours on the Cessna 152 or 172 and fifteen on a twin, and it prices the tests separately by type: four checks on a single engine aircraft covering day, night and cross country flying, and three on the twin covering day, night and the instrument rating.

There is a real trap in the choice of trainer. Flying exclusively on the larger Cessna 172 costs extra, and the amount is published rather than negotiated, so a student who assumes the bigger aeroplane comes at the package price will be surprised at the first invoice. The rates also hold for sixteen months, after which any remaining hours are charged at prevailing rates.

The regulator prints approval 08/2020 against this organisation, records its ownership as Private Ltd, and gives the approval as valid to 10 November 2027.

The fee sheet states a fleet of thirteen aircraft: five Cessna 152, four Cessna 172, one Cessna 172S glass cockpit, one Beechcraft Bonanza A36 and two multi engine, a Cessna 310 and a Tecnam P2006T glass cockpit. That is 11 single engine against the regulator's 14, with the multi engine count of 2 agreeing. The aircraft page's prose is older still: it names only the Cessna 152, Cessna 172, Bonanza A36 and Cessna 310 and says a glass cockpit Cessna 172 is planned.

Where the regulator ranks it

DGCA ranking, 1 April 2026 edition: Category B, printed at serial 8. It was Category C in the 30 September 2025 edition, so this is a move in the regulator's own letters between the two.

The regulator publishes a letter and a serial number and no score at all, so there is nothing behind the letter to inspect and nothing here to rank schools against each other by. The bands the letters come from, and how many organisations sit in each on this edition, are set out on the flying schools in India index.

How far you can trust each number below

Published
Printed on the operator's or the regulator's own page.

From a brochure, an aggregator or a cadet, not from the operator's own price list.
Estimated
A range built up from parts, not lifted whole from any one source.

No public number exists. We say so rather than filling the gap.

What that figure covers, in the source's own words

Inside the figure, and outside itQuoted rather than summarised. Where the source says nothing about an item, neither does this table, and an unmentioned cost is not the same as an included one.

How you get in

The site takes enquiries through a Register Now form and a free consultation booking, with admissions@gargaviation.com given for admissions. The fee sheet is a signable quotation valid for the batch commencing 1 January 2026, paid as registration then four milestone instalments before flying starts and before 50, 100 and 150 hours. The refund policy sets liquidated damages of at least Rs. 25,000 plus every hour flown charged at open rates.

Administrative office at D-407, first floor, Ramphal Chowk, Dwarka Sector 7, New Delhi 110085. The only flying base named is the Kanpur one the regulator lists.

What this school does not publish

The prevailing rates that apply after the sixteen month window are not published, so the cost of a course that runs long is unknown in advance.

The regulator's examination, issue and endorsement fees are excluded by name and paid by the trainee directly, with no total given for them.

Where this sits in the wider cost

Nothing above is the whole cost of becoming a pilot. Our pilot training cost in India page has the full stack from the medicals to the type rating, and CPL course fees in India puts this school's licence figure next to the rest of the market.

Common questions

What makes the Garg Aviations fee sheet unusual?

It behaves like a contract rather than like a brochure. It has an effective date, a signature block, a refund policy on the same document and an hourly rate card for flying outside the package. Most schools in this directory publish a number and leave the terms to a conversation.

Does the package cover flying the larger Cessna?

Not exclusively. The sheet publishes an extra charge for a trainee who flies only the Cessna 172 rather than mixing it with the 152. The amount is in the table on this page, so it is a decision you can cost before you make it.

What happens if I take longer than expected?

The published rates hold for sixteen months. Beyond that the remaining hours are charged at prevailing rates, which the sheet does not name, so a course that overruns has an open ended element to it.
