Flying schools

NFTI at Gondia

The Gondia campus publishes two prices on its own site, and confusing them is the single most expensive mistake a student makes here. One is a licence. The other is a cadet programme with a jet type rating inside it.

Gondia is a training campus in eastern Maharashtra rather than a club attached to a city airport, and that shapes everything about the way it prices. You move there for the duration, the operator states plainly that accommodation and meals sit outside the tuition, and the living line is therefore a number worth its own row rather than a rounding error at the end.

What makes this campus unusually easy to research is that the operator publishes both of its prices on its own pages. That is rare in Indian flying training, where the normal state is an enquiry form. It also creates the trap: the two published prices are for two different things, and they are only a page apart.

The smaller number is the integrated licence. The larger one is the airline cadet route through the same campus, which bundles the ground school, the flying, the A320 type rating and the food and stay into one product. A student who reads both and adds them has invented a price nobody is charged, and a student who reads only the larger one and calls it the cost of a licence has done the opposite.

How far you can trust each number below

Published
Printed on the operator's or the regulator's own page.
Reported
From a brochure, an aggregator or a cadet, not from the operator's own price list.
Estimated
A range built up from parts, not lifted whole from any one source.
Undisclosed
No public number exists. We say so rather than filling the gap.

What it charges

Every figure we hold for this schoolEach row carries the label that says who published it. Rows with different labels are not comparable and are never added together.
What you pay forAmountWhat the figure is
Integrated commercial pilot licence tuition, plus tax₹42,00,000PublishedQuoted as the tuition plus applicable tax, with the tax left as a rate rather than an amount.
Accommodation and meals₹7,00,000 to ₹9,00,000ReportedExplicitly outside the tuition, and a real number rather than a small one, because Gondia is where you live for the duration.
The IndiGo cadet route through the same campus, all inabout ₹97,00,000PublishedA different and much larger product: it folds in the A320 type rating and the food and stay. Never add it to the licence tuition above.

Integrated commercial pilot licence tuition, plus tax: read from the operator's own integrated CPL page, checked 15 June 2026. Accommodation and meals: read from student-reported living costs at Gondia, checked 15 June 2026. The IndiGo cadet route through the same campus, all in: read from the operator's own IndiGo cadet page, checked 15 June 2026.

How you get in

Two doors into the same campus. The integrated licence is a direct admission with the operator's own entrance and medical requirements, and the cadet route runs through the airline's selection first and places you here afterwards.

Which door you come through decides what you pay and what you leave with, so establish that before you compare any quote against the numbers above.

What this school does not publish

The tax on the licence tuition is quoted as applicable rather than as an amount, so on a fee of this size there is a real unstated cost we cannot give you a figure for.

The operator publishes no breakdown of the cadet route into its licence and type-rating halves, so the two cannot be compared line by line.

Where this sits in the wider cost

Nothing above is the whole cost of becoming a pilot. Our pilot training cost in India page has the full stack from the medicals to the type rating, and CPL course fees in India puts this school's licence figure next to the rest of the market. This school also appears on our IndiGo cadet pilot programme page, where the airline side of the same route is set out.

Common questions

Is NFTI the same thing as CAE?

The Gondia institute is operated by CAE, and both names attach to the same campus, which is why a search throws up two sets of pages for one place. The fees above come from the operator's own pages for that campus.

Which of the two published prices applies to me?

The smaller one if you are self-funding a licence and the larger one if you are selected onto the airline cadet programme that runs through this campus. They are separate products, not a base price and an upgrade.

Are living costs really excluded?

Yes, and the operator says so itself. Gondia is where you live for the length of the course, so budget the accommodation and meals line as a real cost rather than treating the tuition as the whole bill.
