Flying schools

Redbird Flight Training Academy

Two different totals circulate for this academy, from two different tiers, and neither of them appears on the academy's own site. We publish both and refuse to average them.

This academy is headquartered in New Delhi and flies from more than one base, which already makes it harder to price than a single-airfield school: what you pay can depend on where you are posted for the flying phase, and that is not something a listing site captures.

What makes it harder still is that two different totals circulate for it. One is a licence course total from a college listing site. The other comes from a circulated fee sheet for a cadet tier, structured as a registration payment and then four instalments. They differ by several lakh, they describe different products, and they may well be from different years.

The tempting thing to do with two numbers is to split the difference. We do not, and the directory's rule says why: an average of two figures is a third figure that nobody published and nobody charges. So both rows are below, each labelled, each with what it appears to describe, and the honest summary is that this academy's real current price is something you will have to ask for.

Where it flies, and what it teaches

How far you can trust each number below

Published
Printed on the operator's or the regulator's own page.
Reported
From a brochure, an aggregator or a cadet, not from the operator's own price list.
Estimated
A range built up from parts, not lifted whole from any one source.
Undisclosed
No public number exists. We say so rather than filling the gap.

What it charges

Every figure we hold for this schoolEach row carries the label that says who published it. Rows with different labels are not comparable and are never added together.
What you pay forAmountWhat the figure is
Licence course, all in₹45,31,000ReportedOne of two figures in circulation for this academy, from a listing site rather than from Redbird.
Cadet programme, from a circulated fee sheet₹53,00,000ReportedA different tier from the row above, and possibly a different date. The two are not two views of one price.

How you get in

Admission is by enquiry, and the tier you are quoted for depends on which programme you apply to, which is precisely the distinction the two circulating totals blur.

Ask which base you would fly from as well as what you would pay, because a multi-base academy can post you somewhere with a different cost of living from the one you applied at.

What this school does not publish

Redbird publishes no fee on its own site, so nothing here can be labelled Published.

Hostel and meals are not quantified in either circulating figure, so what the totals actually include is unclear.

The full list of flying bases is not recorded in our source, so we do not name bases we have not verified.

Where this sits in the wider cost

Nothing above is the whole cost of becoming a pilot. Our pilot training cost in India page has the full stack from the medicals to the type rating, and CPL course fees in India puts this school's licence figure next to the rest of the market.

Common questions

Why do you show two prices instead of one?

Because two exist and we cannot tell you which is current. Showing one would be a choice we could not justify, and averaging them would be a number nobody published. Two labelled rows is the honest answer.

Which figure should I plan against?

Neither, until you have a written quote. Use them to tell whether a quote you are given is in the normal range for this academy, and compare that range against our licence-fee page.

Does the multi-base setup change what I pay?

It can, because living costs differ by base, and that part is not in either figure. Ask where the flying phase happens before you accept a total.
