The type changes when you can sit the paper. It does not change the syllabus or the difficulty.
Regular
Four sessions a year, one a quarter. Each session's notice on the Pariksha portal sets the dates to apply.
On Demand
Eight sessions a year, in the months between the regular ones, mostly for re-attempts. Seats are first come, first served.
OLODE
Online On-Demand Examination, DGCA's name for the on-demand sessions. Session notices on Pariksha still use it.

Is there a DGCA Air Regulations question paper PDF?
