Jet Streams: DGCA Aviation Meteorology questions
A jet stream is a narrow band of strong wind near the tropopause, thousands of kilometres long and a few hundred wide. Over India two matter: the westerly subtropical jet in winter and the easterly tropical jet over the peninsula during the monsoon.
